I have been using Instagram so quite sometime though I was late to open an account. Initially it was only to relax my mind. However, in the latter period I started to procrastinate due to the dopamine that the feeds stimulates in my mind. That is when I discovered a way to utilize Instagram to promote my blog posts. I started to change the way how I approach Instagram ever since I get this idea from a Insta post by an anonymous person. 

Many book writers consider Instagram to be a damage to our brain as it stimulates too much dopamine for a little amount of work which is using one's thumb to scroll through the feeds to feel relaxed and happy as well as carefree. If Instagram were to disappear tomorrow, thought these writers may say it is a good thing that it happened, in terms of the business, there will be a huge downfall to it as Instagram is now source of digital marketing.

As I started to find ways to promote my posts on Instagram, I find some these tips to be very helpful and practical. Perhaps, these are my dogma when it comes to find the audience and give them my words to be heard.

It's OK to feel that you are a zero now. Because it has nothing to do with the principles that I'm going to layout right now.

1. Connect your Instagram profile to your blog's post.
2. Link to your profile from all your other social media channels.
3. Mention you're on Instagram in your marketing videos, vlogs, and Livestream events.
4. Add your Instagram profile to your outgoing email signature. See mine below.
5. Do the same for your email marketing newsletters.
6. Add your Instagram profile URL to your blog's author box.





2. Share your making video

Sharing your making videos not only makes your Insta account more vibrant but it also adds curiosity to your content. Many followers who have read your blog posts might been wondering how you made your previous posts. This way you can bring your readers and followers more closer to your blogging community.


They will then learn stuffs from you and in future you may collabrate with them as well to produce more amazing contents.





3. You have only 60 seconds



Unlike YouTube vlogging, Instagram offers a space of 60 seconds to show your content or promo. Therefore, the 60 seconds should be appealing as it has a huge role in planting the curiosity of getting to know more about your post that you are promoting in the video.


To make it more appealing you may need some different set of soft skills to digitalize your content to make it look more professional. Every blogger has their own style so you have to discover your signature before anyone else steal the show.


Using budget equipment may also enable your content to look more fashionable but anyway it is all about your content so be careful of what you are writing about. Enough amount of research and passion can do wonders. They are like a magic wand in making yours the aweomest!



Remember above all to be consistent, plan ahead, be creative and have fun, and you'll be rewarded. You don't need to have thousands of followers to get the most from Instagram.
